The Truth About Golf Swing Assessments: Another Profit Center for the Golf Industry
Why should golfers have to pay separately for a swing assessment before they can begin receiving instruction?
At FastTrack Golf, we believe they shouldn’t.
A competent golf instructor should be able to watch a golfer swing, recognize what needs attention, and begin working with that golfer. A separate assessment process shouldn’t be a requirement before training can start.
In our view, separate golf swing assessments have become another profit center for the golf instruction industry. Golfers are asked to pay for analysis, presentations, and reports before they ever begin working on their swings.
We believe this process adds an unnecessary expense without providing meaningful value to the golfer. The purpose of instruction is to help people improve. That work should begin when the golfer walks in.
Stop Paying Separately for a Swing Assessment
Golfers come to an instructor because they want help improving their game. The instructor’s first responsibility is to understand what the golfer is doing and begin addressing it.
At FastTrack Golf, the initial assessment is part of the introductory training session. We use that time to observe your swing, understand what needs attention, and introduce you to the training process.
Real-Time Feedback Makes the Difference
One of the biggest differences between FastTrack Golf and conventional golf instruction is when the golfer receives feedback.
With conventional instruction, feedback often comes after the swing through verbal explanation, observation, or video review. FastTrack brings physical feedback into the movement itself.
The NitroSwing uses non-momentum nitrogen gas-pressure resistance throughout the swing. As you move, you feel that resistance immediately. The feedback happens in real time, while the swing is taking place.
This gives you a physical reference for the movement as you perform it. You aren’t relying entirely on remembering an explanation after the swing. You’re experiencing the feedback during the movement and learning through that direct physical response.
That is central to the FastTrack approach: simplify the learning process, reduce unnecessary swing thoughts, and develop a more consistent movement through purposeful repetition.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost for my first FastTrack session?
Your first session is $15. We start by taking a look at your grip, stance, posture, and basic swing mechanics, fix any obvious setup issues on the spot, and then jump straight into training. It gives beginners, novices, and experienced players a great opportunity to test out our unique swing training system without spending a lot of money. You can find our full pricing options right on our website.
How should I prepare for my first session at FastTrack Golf?
Preparation is simple. Wear comfortable athletic clothes you can rotate freely in, along with sneakers or golf shoes that give you solid grip. We provide all the equipment, so you don't even need to own clubs to get started. Skip any heavy workouts that morning so your body is fresh, and plan to arrive about ten minutes early to warm up. From there, we check your setup and get right into training.
What happens during an indoor golf swing assessment at FastTrack Golf?
The traditional evaluation process is pretty much non-existent with us because we can tell in about 30 seconds what needs to be done. We look at your grip, stance, posture, and baseline alignment right off the bat, fix any obvious setup issues immediately, and get straight into training. Our entire system is designed around active training, so instead of wasting time analyzing graphs, we put you directly on the NitroSwing to build the correct motion under load.
